Rust Update 1.90 Patch Notes

Patch 1.90 introduced underground attacks. Battle other teams for control of the new military tunnel monument. Explore high-radiation corridors in the dark with new night vision goggles and fight your way through 3 new weapons (P17 Prototype Pistol, Crafted Light Machine Gun and M4 Shotgun) and 2 new projectiles (Incendiary and Flashbangs) Grenade. The patch also includes general gameplay fixes, quality of life improvements, and bug fixes.

Add to

  • New monument – military tunnel. Low visibility conditions, sporadic areas of intense radiation, dark winding halls and large patrolled corridors trigger happy scientists.

  • New weapons – Prototype 17 pistol, handmade light machine gun and M4 shotgun.

  • New projectiles – Molotov cocktails and flashbangs.

  • New weapon attachments – extended magazine and burst fire modules.

  • Added the ability to toggle individual footsteps sounds in the audio options.

  • Various improvements have been made to the Teams UI.

  • Ability to apply skin directly to items using a spray can. (Note: Spray cans can only replace skins)

  • Added crosshairs and click cross.

  • Added hit and directional damage markers.

  • Updated Injury Status – Players can now enter a crawling state when injured.

  • Night Vision Goggles – Can see in darker areas, but the trade-off is that you can’t wear a helmet and the lenses are visible to other players.

  • The full character model is now fully visible in first person, looking left and right, and looking down.

  • Team member names are now always displayed on the screen.

  • 3.5K maps have been added to the official server rotation and are available on community servers.

  • Players are now correctly dragged by cargo ships.

  • Fixed collision interaction.

  • Getting from water to objects is now easier.

  • Weapon attachments now update dynamically.

  • Laser sights now align with weapon aim.

  • Aiming is no longer centered no matter which direction the weapon is pointed.

  • Displayed projectile resistance and melee resistance now match the Steam version.

  • The player’s name is no longer visible through the smoke of a smoke grenade.

  • Status bar preview now updates as the player’s health/thirst/hunger changes.

  • Players can now place water pumps in rivers in the Snow biome.

  • Players can no longer see through the base of the Kraken’s Light.

  • Damaged garage doors no longer require gear hammer repair.

  • Auto-turret lasers are now visible.

  • Spearguns now display correctly when shooting sharks.

  • Blood decals no longer appear on weapons when shot by other players.
