early life
Lu Ruien was born in Singapore on January 29, 1981. His father is a real estate agent and his mother is a housewife.
Ryan’s parents divorced when he was 17, and his mother remarried when he was 20. His parents’ divorce caused Ryan to suffer a mental breakdown and his family was broken up. Ryan became addicted to drugs and alcohol. In an interview with The Straits Times in 2008, Ryan revealed that he used to smoke and drink to cope with insecurity and instability.
She became timid and decided to give up ballet in secondary school. As for her education, she received her secondary and primary education at the Singapore Chinese Girls’ School.
However, Ryan was unable to complete her studies there, so she enrolled at Raffles Junior College, where she completed her secondary education. After graduation, she enrolled at Nanyang Technological University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2004.
