Gina Miles loves her parents, Ryan Galey and Amy Buler, to the moon. However, Amy is not her biological mother. Her father raised her on his own. It’s no surprise that she seems to like him better.
But that doesn’t mean Amy doesn’t love her. In fact, it was Gina’s stepmother who supported her when she wanted to pursue music more seriously and decided to move in with her aunt in Sacramento. Moving to the big city was scary at first, but now she’s a top 5 finalist on The Voice.
For the top five, Gina chose Taylor Swift’s “Style,” which Niall called “ridiculous” and praised her for choosing a pop song after all the “haunting” songs she’s performed before. She then closed out the evening with Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U.”
“That was a special moment of ‘The Voice’ for me,” Niall shared. “She needed to win this competition.”
Meet Ryan Galey, Gina Miles’ Father
Ryan Galey is Gina Miles’ loving father. He raised her as a single dad, working as a DJ on the weekends.
After Gina turned 14, he was the one who helped her get more involved in the music scene and invited her to his shows. Of course, he is most proud of his daughter, and even more proud now that she has made it to the Top 5 of The Voice.

Ryan Galey was born in May 1970. That means he is 53 years old in 2023.
He is the son of Carolyn J Galey (born 1944) and the grandson of Janice Galey (August 30, 1939 – December 2, 2013).
Ryan Galey is an insurance producer who loves his job. “I love the business. I’ve been in service and management for a long time and I still find it a new challenge every day,” he says.
But before that, Ryan spent three decades working in restaurant management before COVID-19 hit the world in 2020, leading to a career change. “Honestly, when COVID hit, the whole idea of restaurant service went out of whack working for corporate restaurants, and I wanted to find a job where I could still serve and be helpful to people and use my customer service skills,” he explains.
Ryan opened Ryan Galey Agency in October 2022, offering a variety of insurance products, including auto, home, life, and commercial/business insurance, along with annuities and Medicare supplements. He is now in his third year as a licensed insurance agent for Farmers Insurance and in his ninth month of running his own agency as of May 2023.
If there are any issues, Ryan will contact Michael Rumsey Farmers Insurance Agency (his previous employer). Ryan said Farmers agents in the area have “a lot of synergy” with each other and work together whenever necessary to meet the needs of their customers.
Ryan also hasn’t left his DJ job at Maximum Entertainment. “I’m doing two shows a week in Champaign right now,” he shared.
In terms of education, Ryan studied Social Sciences and Humanities at Southern Illinois University, Broadcast Communications at Parkland College, and General Studies at Eastern Illinois University.

Meet Amy Buler, Mother of Gina Miles
Amy Buler may not be Gina’s biological mother, but she loves Gina like her own child.
