Early life and education

Ryan Joseph Giggs OBE was born on 29 November 1973 at St. David in Cardiff, UK. He is the son of Danny Wilson, a rugby player for Cardiff RFC, and Lynne Giggs (now Lynne Johnson).

Giggs has a younger brother, Rhodri Giggs, former manager of EFL League Two club Salford City. From a young age, Giggs mainly focused on his sports career, joining Manchester United’s youth academy and becoming a professional football player.
