Sadiq Aman Khan was born on 8 October 1970 at St George’s Hospital in Tooting, South London, England. He comes from a working-class Sunni-Muhajir Muslim family. His parents, Amanullah Khan and Sehrun Khan, emigrated from Pakistan to the UK in 1968, shortly before Sadiq was born.
