Early life
Sana Khan was born on August 21, 1988 in Mumbai (Dharavi). Her father is a Malayali Muslim from Kannur, Kerala and her mother is originally from Mumbai.
Career
In the 2005 Hindi adult film Yehi Hai High Society, Sana Khan made her acting debut. After that, she started appearing on television and other types of marketing.
Khan’s first Tamil film, Silambattam, was released by Lakshmi Movie Makers in December 2008. After seeing her promo with Shah Rukh Khan, the lead actor of the film Silambarasan, who had previously signed and later offered her a role in his film Kettavan, called her. again for the female lead in Silambattam.

Khan played the role of a waitress in a pub in the Telugu film Mr Nookayya in March 2012, giving beauty to the film. Climax (2013 film), largely inspired by the Hindi film The Dirty Picture, was Khan’s debut Malayalam film, in which she played the role of South Indian actress Silk Smitha. Thalaivan, Khan’s sixth Tamil film, will be produced by Blue Ocean Pictures.
Khan played the role of the daughter of the main villain, Danny Denzongpa, in the Bollywood film Jai Ho, released on 24 January 2014. Along with Sharman Joshi and Gurmeet Choudhary, she appeared in Wajah Tum.
The film failed miserably at the Indian box office. After the film’s trailer was released on YouTube, many conversations were stirred by her bold scenes in the film alongside Gurmeet and Rajneesh Duggal.

Khan appeared in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha as Akshay Kumar’s girlfriend in a cameo. She will co-star in Tom, Dick and Harry 2 alongside Sharman Joshi and Aftab Shivdasani.

Khan revealed her relationship with choreographer Melvin Louis in February 2019. The relationship ended in February 2020.

Khan married Islamic scholar Mufti Anas Sayed in Surat on 21 November 2020. On 5 July 2023, the couple gave birth to their first child, a boy named Saiyad Tariq Jamil.
