Scott Borchetta reflects on two decades since meeting Taylor Swift Instagram: @taylorswift, @scott.borchetta
Big Machine Label Group CEO Scott Borchetta took to his Instagram account to praise and reflect on his history with Taylor Swift.
The post, uploaded on November 4, begins with Borchetta highlighting her two decades of acquaintance with Swift.
Borchetta shared: “It was 20 years ago today. The reference to the Beatles may not be too far-fetched.”
“Today marks the 20th anniversary of my first meeting with Taylor,” he said. “A day that changed both of our lives.”
The music label CEO then explained further: “This photo was taken two nights later at the Bluebird cafe. You see the back of my head, bottom left, T, and then Andrea at across the room.”
Borchetta then said how proud he was of Swift and her dedication to her craft, “Always proud of her art and the work she did when we were together… and Just as proud of her now.”
“Keep crushing it,” Borchetta added.
Despite the wholesome intentions of Brochetta’s post, public opinion was not so kind.
On platform X (formerly Twitter), Swifties reacted harshly to the CEO’s post due to his and Scooter Braun’s past feud with Swift regarding ownership of master recordings of her old song.
Better hands than me because if the man who knew me since childhood sold my life’s work to one of the men responsible for the worst period of my life just because I refused to participate signed another multi-album deal after years of pursuit. his boot, I’ll burn his house down https://t.co/SaF7xoaFXa

Swift posted a lengthy post in 2019 criticizing two executives, claiming they did not allow her to perform her old songs at the American Music Awards.
Swift later emphasized: “Neither of these men had any part in writing these songs. They did nothing to create the relationship that I have with my fans.”
