Early life
Scheffler was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey on June 21, 1996 but moved to Dallas, Texas when he was very young. Diane and Scott Scheffler were his parents at birth. Sara, Callie, and Molly Scheffler are his three siblings.
He attended Highland Park High School and then attended the University of Texas, where he played golf and basketball. In 2015, he was named Freshman of the Year by Phil Mickelson after helping the team win three Big 12 titles.
