Early life and education
Joson Becky was born on February 20, 2000, in Masaka, Uganda, into a very religious family, her father is a pastor and her mother is a devout born-again Christian. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kukiriza, instilled strong Christian values in her. She has two sisters, Ruth Kuganja and Dona Kukiriza.

A coach, aware of Chosen Becky’s family connections and obvious potential, approached her to teach her singing skills. Through hard work and dedication, she honed her singing ability by the time she graduated in P7. After completing her senior year, she found a job in Masaka and continued to hone her musical talent.
During this period, NIK CosmeticsChosen Becky’s talent was discovered during a cosmetics event in Masaka. She was selected to participate in a music project and Nick Productions.

Personal life
Chosen Becky, 24, a mother of three, has openly shared intimate details about her family. She revealed that she became a mother when she gave birth to her first child, Hrim JJAGWE, at the age of 16. Ronald JJAGWE, a photographer at the time, was the father of her first child and she spoke about falling in love with him. Her first boyfriend was David Kimera.
While participating in the gossip show Uncut on NBS TV co-hosted with Anna Talia Oze, Chosen Becky narrated her love story with a photographer from Masaka village and the birth of her first child. When she was in Grade 3 in Masaka, she developed a relationship with school photographer Ronald JJAGWE and gave birth to their child Hrim JJAGWE.
Becky and her husband Amir Mutebi (also known as Dictator Amir) welcomed their third child, Gibran Nsubuga Mutebi, in 2023. Prior to this, their first child, Heather Mutebi Amir, was born in May 2019.
