Selena Gomez once again responded to body shamers.

The multi-hyphenate beauty defended her appearance at an industry event in Los Angeles when she hit the red carpet for her film Emilia Pérez on October 29. However, after her debut On the carpet, Gomez was once again forced to confront people that had their thoughts about her body.

“This makes me sick. I have SEBO [sic] in my small intestine. It flared up,” Gomez began, according to so wonderful.

“I don’t care that I don’t look like a stick. I don’t have that body. End of story. No, I’m not a victim. I’m just human,” she continued to assert.

Gomez is also dealing with a disease called lupus and shared that her weight can fluctuate due to that disease.

This is not the first time the actress has faced comments about her weight. In July of this year, she responded to a TikTok video in which a physician assistant working at a plastic surgeon’s office in Florida asserted that the “Calm” singer had work done.

“Honestly. I hate this. I’m striped from flare-ups. I have Botox. That’s it. Leave me alone,” she said in response.

Gomez was diagnosed with lupus — an incurable autoimmune disorder that attacks tissues and organs — in 2014 and even underwent a kidney transplant in 2017 as a result of her lupus.

“Today I realized that I will never look like this again. I’m not perfect but I’m proud to be who I am – sometimes I forget that it’s okay to be myself,” she shared along with a My old photo, according to so wonderful earlier this year.
