Early life and education
Selita Ebanks was born on February 17, 1983. She grew up in George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. She was born into a very large family of eight children.
Her mother, Anita Ebanks, encouraged her to develop through extracurricular activities. She moved to the United States and settled in Staten Island, where she graduated from Curtis High School.
Selita Ebanks was accepted to attend college at Columbia University and New York University but chose to pursue a modeling career.
In 2000, at the age of 17, while going through the turnstile at Six Flags Great Adventure, Selita Ebanks was discovered by an agent for Elite Model Management.
Personal life
In 2011, Selita Ebanks dated Terrence J, and in 2013, they broke up. She was also engaged to Nick Cannon. However, they broke up just five months after getting engaged.
