Early life and education
Shannon Bream was born Shannon Noelle DePuy on December 23, 1970 to Ed DePuy (father) and Marie Norris (mother) in Tallahassee, Florida, United States.
She attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia when she was 17. During her college years, she won the Miss Virginia pageant in 1990. She revealed that she is a Christian.
In 1991, at the age of 21, she entered the Miss America pageant. Her scholarship paid for most of her college expenses.
Shannon Bream returned to Tallahassee after earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Liberty University in 1993, magna cum laude, and went on to study law at Florida State University. She interned with Florida Congressman Bill McCollum in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Bill McCollum later became the Attorney General of Florida. While attending law school at Florida State University, Shannon Bream won the 1995 Miss Florida USA pageant and placed fourth in the 1995 Miss USA pageant. Scholarships from the Miss USA pageants helped her pay for law school.

Shannon Bream is married to Sheldon Bream, an American businessman and speaker. Shannon Bream and Sheldon Bream got married in 1995 when she was 25 years old.

Career
After graduating with honors from Florida State University School of Law in 1996, Shannon Bream moved to Tampa, Florida to begin her career as a lawyer specializing in racial discrimination and sexual harassment.
She then left the law field to pursue a career in television news reporting. In 2001, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, to work as an evening and late-night news reporter for CBS affiliate WBTV.
After three years at WBTV, Shannon Bream moved to NBC’s WRC-TV in Washington, DC, in 2004. WRC-TV hired her as a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter.
While working at WRC-TV, Shannon Bream met Brit Hume, the managing editor of Fox News Channel’s Washington bureau. She sent in her audition tape to Fox News with his assistance.
She began working for Fox News Channel in November 2007 while living in Washington, DC. She later became a host and anchor of Fox News@Night.
