Early Life & Education
On November 4, 1979, Shashi Naidoo was born. She was born in Gqeberha, South Africa, to Harry Naidoo, who happens to be her father, and Punji Naidoo, her mother.
She is rumored to be of Caucasian ancestry and has a sister named Anthosh Naidoo.
Shashi Naidoo attended Alexander Road High School and was born and raised in Port Elizabeth. She moved to Johannesburg to pursue her studies in orthopedic medicine and she completed her studies at that city’s university in 2007.

Shashi Naidoo rose to fame in 2004 when she played Linda McGinty, Ziggy’s girlfriend, in E.TV’s soap opera Backstage. She soon appeared briefly in the SABC1 drama series Generations. She also had a small role in the 2007 miniseries Society. On 2 October 2007, she began presenting EMS Episode 1 with someone else on SABC1.
In 2008, Shashi Naidoo finished her six-month stint as Sureshni Patel in MNET’s drama series Egoli. She has appeared in numerous television and print advertisements as a model and brand ambassador for companies such as Sun International (featuring Charlize Theron), Woolworths (featuring Alek Wek), Coke Zero International, MTN, Nivea, Brutal Fruit, Jet, Edgars, Rama, Discovery, IEC SA, Samsung, Malaysia Airways, SA Tourism, and many others.
Shashi Naidoo was selected for the 2008 FHM calendar, ranked 14th among the 100 sexiest women in the world in 2009 and fourth in 2008. She appeared in Sports Illustrated magazine in 2009 and was the cover girl of Cosmopolitan magazine this month. September 2008. She was also featured in Woolworth commercials in 2008 and 2009.
