Sick New World 2025 has been cancelled, according to a surprising announcement at the Las Vegas rock and alternative music festival made on Friday (November 29). Just before the official confirmation, rumors of the April 2025 festival’s demise surfaced during a Friday interview with a member of the band Tomahawk.
Over the past two years, Sick New World has enjoyed success with rock audiences by focusing on the nu-metal, goth, industrial and alternative metal genres, featuring a mix of unusual bands. former from the late 90s and early 2000s along with more modern acts. The festival’s lineup primarily features artists from the post-grunge, metal and alternative music genres, including some of the most iconic bands from the 1990s and early 2000s, along with emerging artists in those genres.
Earlier on Friday, it was reported that Tomahawk bassist Trevor Donn suggested Sick New World 2025 would be dropped during an interview with the podcast Vinyl Guideas Blunt reported.
“Maybe I shouldn’t talk about this, but it’s not going to happen,” he said. “It’s coming out soon, but basically the festival won’t happen. Later in the day, Sick New World officially confirmed this news without providing further details. The update asks fans to stay tuned for more news and promises refunds within 30 days to those who purchased tickets for Sick New World’s third outing at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.
