Sidwell Sipho Ngwenya (born 25 July 1982) is a famous South African actor and musician, popularly known to his fans as Psyfo.

early life
Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya was born on 25 July 1982 in Kimberley, Northern Cape.
He moved to Johannesburg with his siblings when he was still a child.
This made it necessary for him to continue his studies in Johannesburg.
Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya started school at Zingisa Primary School in Galeshewe, a Xhosa school. He and his siblings moved to Johannesburg where he enrolled at Rivonia Primary School for his primary education.
In order to continue his studies, he attended an audition held by the National School of the Arts.
Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya auditioned for both acting and fine arts, he was accepted but was asked to major in one or the other, so he chose drama.

Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya first appeared on local television after being cast as one of the presenters and lead singers of Kideo Pops. Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya quickly rose to fame, which opened more doors for him as a presenter.
He was one of the lucky ones to take part in the Star Search programme, which looked for young talent in South Africa – dancers, actors and musicians (1996 to 2000).
In 2001, he graduated with basic skills and experience in theatre. However, right after arriving, he chose to take a year off and do an internship at A&P Film and Video. After receiving a positive response, they went on vacation together to Zanzibar and celebrated Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya’s birthday on July 25, 2020.
After more than two years of dating, the two officially got married on November 21, 2020.

In 2004, Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya decided to further develop his singing talent. His passion led him to meet opera singer June Kraus, from whom he learned singing techniques.
He was offered a one-year contract with Sting Music Records, where he released his first single, “Don’t Be Scared”.
After that, Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya’s first album hit the market in 2005. For this unique album, he invited famous local artists such as MXO, Skwatta Kamp and ProVerb.
