So, where can you find this cobalt material? Head to the African coast, especially around Ziwa Kubwa in the northwest. There you will find several locations with cobalt deposits. If you go up the east coast you’ll probably find more.
But be prepared for the challenge! To get there, you need to cross a narrow water channel guarded by a watchtower. Also beware of the Onwana warships – they don’t take kindly to strangers. If your ship isn’t strong enough, they’ll destroy you quickly.
Oh, and while you’re in the area, don’t forget to stop by the Sunken Gold Mine. You can always use fast travel to come back and collect more cobalt. Happy sailing!

How to get cobalt in Skull and Bones?
Obtaining cobalt in Skull and Bones is very easy. First off, Cobalt looks a lot like Nickel in the game, but it’s different, trust me.
Now, to get the cobalt, you’ll need a pickaxe. Just like mining copper or other metals, you’ll use this tool to collect cobalt. Surprisingly, you can still mine cobalt using the basic level 1 pickaxe crafted in the Sainte-Anne tutorial, although some shipwrecks may require a more advanced level 2 crowbar.

Although there were subsequent delays, including a closed beta in August 2023, the game’s release date was finally set for February 16, 2024, after a series of rescheduled release dates.
