SnowRunner is a video game released in 2020 in which players control off-road vehicles to complete missions. Developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive, it succeeds the Spintires and MudRunner games. Originally announced as MudRunner 2 in 2018, it was later announced as SnowRunner in 2019. The game was originally released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in April 2020, and later on the Nintendo Switch in May 2021.

This will be followed by PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in May 2022. SnowRunner offers over 60 vehicles and over 15 locations for players to explore. Additional content is available as DLC through the Third Anniversary Edition. The sequel “Expeditions: A MudRunner Game” will be released on March 5, 2024.

Snowwalker Update 1.48 Patch Notes
Fixes and improvements:
- Fixed a bug that caused some trucks to disappear from the account’s Truck Storage without purchasing the “Jack of All Treads Tire Pack” DLC pack
- Fixed a bug that would increase the number of “inventory” tires without monetary compensation when replacing tires from the “Jack of All Treads Tire Pack” DLC pack
- Fixed a bug that caused any truck to disappear from the garage after installing a truck with purchased DLC tires in the garage slot and turning off the “Jack of All Treads Tire Pack” DLC pack
- Fixed a bug where engine sounds randomly disappeared completely when playing games on PS5
- Fixed a bug where the green checkmark was not showing in the “Region Progress” tab after completing the “It’s All Connected 1” contract in the “Global Map” menu
- Fixed a bug where progress was lost after starting the game after the North Carolina update on MacOS
- Fixed a bug where the FEMM-37-AT’s garage slot would remain locked in the Truck Shop even though it was unlocked in game
- Fixed a bug where the truck would freeze with the Prototype Exploration Unit trailer after delivery and packaging of the Prototype Exploration Unit trailer in a Bad Connection contract
- Fixed multiple crash issues on Xbox
- Localization fixes

Snow Walker gameplay
SnowRunner is a video game in which players take on the role of delivering cargo, completing construction projects, and performing repairs in challenging off-road environments. Set in rural areas of North America and Russia, players must navigate rugged terrain using a variety of vehicles after experiencing various disasters. As they complete missions, they can earn money to upgrade their vehicles or buy new ones to tackle the terrain more easily.

Each region has its own story related to the disaster it faces, and players will encounter optional limited-time missions for additional rewards. The game also offers customization options that allow players to change the appearance and mechanics of the vehicle, such as colors, tires, and accessories. SnowRunner has a wide variety of trucks to choose from, including North American trucks with official licenses and Russian trucks with unique names. DLC for the game includes skin packs, map expansions, and additional vehicles.
