football morning dance
Every year, an exciting event called the “Soccer AM Dance-Off” is held, captivating the crowds with a lively dance competition featuring talented crew members. In this intense competition, each competitor has a brief 15 seconds to show off their moves before passing the baton to the next competitor. The crowd was filled with hearty laughter and playful jeers, creating an atmosphere of friendly banter and entertainment.
However, in 2014, the dance competition took an unexpected turn when a member of the public named Lee Woods got the chance to join in the festivities. Lee won an audition, winning the public vote and giving him a chance to shine on the big stage.
During Lee’s eagerly anticipated performance, fate took a bizarre turn. What he didn’t know was that crew member Frankie Fryer had earlier playfully spread a slippery layer of baked beans on the floor, unbeknownst to Lee. As fate would have it, Lee lost his footing and fell over an unexpected obstacle, triggering a controversial incident known as “Beangate.”
Before the accident, Lee had emerged as the bookies’ favorite to win the coveted victory. However, his unexpected mistake allowed another player, known as Rocket, to take the title. Rocket is a seasoned dance competition veteran with an impressive record of five wins, cementing his status as the undisputed champion. In fact, the Rockets victory meant so much to him that he got a permanent tattoo carved into his skin to commemorate his accomplishment.
Sadly, the Soccer AM Dance-Off feature came to an end in 2015, leaving behind a legacy of dynamic performances, enthusiastic audience reactions and unforgettable moments.

Over time, he became one of the show’s beloved characters, hosting shows like “Skill Skool” and “Small Talk.” . However, his most notable achievement was his six wins in dance competitions, where he displayed impressive body moves. After 19 years at Soccer AM, Rocket left in 2017 to join JOE as Head of Sports Production. Unfortunately, JOE faced financial difficulties and entered bankruptcy proceedings in 2020, resulting in Rocket losing his job. Currently, he serves as the Head of Production at Mola TV.

Robbie Knox
Robbie Knox, known as “The Tramp” on Soccer AM, won the dance competition in 2002, breaking the winning streak of two-time champions Gadzooks. raj
In a remarkable turn of events that shocked viewers, Raj, a kid with relatively unknown work experience, became the unexpected winner of Dance Off 2011. As the youngest member of the team, he exceeded expectations and took the win, moving Trev in second and defending champion Lisa (considered the bookies’ favorite) in third. The moment was filled with disbelief and Raj, visibly taken aback, took the trophy from Peter Schmeichel, making him even more surprised by the victory.
Trev
Trev was often underestimated during his prime on Soccer AM, but he surprisingly won the dance competition in 2008 with a 33/1 upset, leaving former Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon deep impression. In 2012, he won the title twice, receiving the trophy from John Barnes after defeating Baby Elvis and Tubes. According to his LinkedIn profile, Trev is still employed by Sky Sports and currently works as an associate producer, contributing to shows such as Fantasy Football Club.
