Corporate Affairs
Something Corporate, also known as SoCo, is a rock band from California, founded in 1998. The band members include lead singer and pianist Andrew McMahon, guitarists Josh Partington and Bobby Anderson, bassist Kevin Page, and drummer Brian Ireland.
After recording a demo, they released an independent album titled Ready… Break. They later signed with MCA Records and released their debut EP Audioboxer on Drive-Thru Records. Their song “If You C Jordan” was a hit, peaking at #29 on the Alternative Songs chart. Their first major label album, Leaving Through the Window, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart in 2002.
In 2004, the band temporarily disbanded and McMahon began working on his side project, Jack’s Models. They briefly reunited in 2006, officially announced their reunion in 2009, toured in 2010, and released a compilation album. By 2010, they had sold over 1 million records.
In 2022, they surprised fans with a show for McMahon’s birthday, and in 2023, they reunited for a New Year’s Eve show in Anaheim, California. Their journey demonstrates their enduring popularity and the impact their music has had on fans over the years.
