starry sky
Starfield is a highly anticipated action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game, which debuted at Bethesda’s E3 demo in 2018, features a space-themed environment and marks Bethesda’s first new intellectual property in nearly three decades.
The game is scheduled to be released on Windows and Xbox Series X/S platforms on September 6, 2023, and the early access version has already won rave reviews. Starfield promises to bring exciting new elements to the gaming landscape, combining Bethesda’s renowned RPG expertise with a futuristic space setting to create a captivating gaming experience.
Starry Sky Faction
In Starfield, players have the opportunity to form alliances with five major factions, each offering unique missions, narratives, and rewards in exchange for their loyalty. Some factions are intertwined with the main storyline, while others require players to actively seek them out.
Additionally, there are a number of smaller factions, corporations, and religious groups, although they play a smaller role in gameplay than the first five. Factions are a core element of the game, giving players insight into the Starfield universe, opportunities for progression, and valuable rewards as they explore the galaxy.
In Starfield, players can choose to ally themselves with the following major factions:
-
Constellation: A space exploration organization and the central faction that drives the game’s storyline.
-
Crimson Fleet: A group of space pirates.
-
Freestar Collective: An alliance of separatist systems located on the galactic frontier.
-
Ryujin Industries: A famous technology giant located in Neon City.
-
United Colonies: A powerful, militarized bureaucratic republic composed of settled planets supported by volunteer vanguard units.

Can you join all the factions in Starfield?
Yes, you’re free to join all the factions in Starfield, and in some cases, you can even advance to leadership positions within these organizations. It’s worth noting that choosing a faction-related trait, such as “United Colonial Natives,” does not prevent you from joining other factions.
However, when you get deeply involved with multiple factions, you may encounter conflicts of interest, as some of the groups have tensions with each other and even view each other as enemies.
constellation
The Stars are a respected group of space explorers tasked with collecting a series of mysterious alien artifacts believed to be part of a larger mystery. The faction’s diverse membership includes veteran space astronaut Sarah Morgan, charming rogue Barrett, gruff financier Walter Stroud and curious scientist Noel, among others.
Players have the opportunity to recruit members of numerous constellations to join their ship or outpost crew, or make them loyal followers. Interestingly, many inhabitants of the Milky Way remain unaware of the constellation’s continued existence, so mentioning your connection to them usually elicits a positive reaction.
To become part of the Constellation, players will automatically join the faction when completing one of the initial main story missions. Therefore, it is almost impossible to avoid joining the constellations unless you deliberately avoid participating in the main plot.
crimson fleet
The Crimson Fleet of Stardom is a powerful fleet of space pirates that roam the universe. Of the game’s main antagonists (which also include the Astros and Zodiac), the Crimson Fleet is the only faction that players can actually join. This notorious organization was originally founded by Jasper Kryx, but is currently led by the fearsome pirate Delgado.
To become a member of the Crimson Fleet, players have a few main options. One way is to get caught for smuggling, the other is to join Jemison’s UC Pioneers. Both paths eventually led to a job with UC SysDef, serving as an undercover pirate in the ranks of the Crimson Fleet.
Liberty Stars Collective and Rangers
The Freestars of the Segmentum are a faction with roots in the frontiers, known for their past struggles for independence from the larger United Colonies. They are protected by the Freestar Rangers, who specialize in maintaining law and order in uncivilized areas of space.
To join the Liberty Star Collective and the Rangers, players should travel to the city of Akira in Akira, the Cheyenne system. Over time, they’ll encounter rangers who need help. Completing missions assigned by the Rangers will result in joining the Freestar Rangers. While selecting the Freestar Collective Settlers trait during character creation will not provide immediate access to the Rangers, it may be helpful when dealing with Ranger-related matters.
Longshen Industry
Dragon God Industry in the Star Territory is a large enterprise spanning various galaxies, with its headquarters located in Neon City. This faction offers a glimpse into the gritty, cyberpunk-inspired corporate underbelly of the Starfield universe, often involving missions centered around stealth and corporate espionage.
To join Ryujin Industries, players can explore major Starfield cities, where they may see announcements from small red Ryujin Industries kiosks indicating job openings. Just hearing the announcement kicks off what’s known as a “return to work” kick-off, which involves applying for jobs at large corporations. Filling out the application form through the self-service terminal is the first step to qualify for the Neon Dragon God Tower interview.
united colonies
The United Colonies (UC) of the Segmentum represent an important political and military force, primarily concentrated in the New Atlantis capital on the planet Jamison. Not only is New Atlantis the largest city in the game, it’s also one of the largest cities Bethesda has ever created. At the beginning of Starfield, the United Colonies are in an uneasy peace with the Free Star collective following the Colonial War, which took place approximately 20 years before the events of the game.
To join the United Colonies, players can become members of the UC Vanguard. One way to do this is to voluntarily join the UC Vanguard early in the game, which involves visiting the Vanguard representative in the MAST building in New Atlantis.
Another way is to get arrested by UC, thus giving you another route into the organization. It’s important to note that simply selecting the United Colonies Native trait during character creation does not automatically grant UC membership, as you are not considered a true citizen, making Vanguard the primary option to join.
Starfield Pixie Series List:
