Steve Burns was born on October 9, 1973, and grew up in Boyertown, Pennsylvania. He attended Boyertown Area High School.
He is 50 years old. Steve Burns has two sisters, Karen Burns and Jennifer Burns. His parents are Joseph Burns Jr. (1938-2015) and Janet Burns (née Petaccio).

He played in small bands throughout high school and college, and after graduating from high school in 1991, he received a scholarship to attend DeSallis University in Pennsylvania.
He enrolled in drama school but dropped out after his second year. Steve Burns moved to New York City to pursue a career as a professional actor.

He had no idea what role he was auditioning for or if he would be chosen. That’s why Steve Burns showed up for the audition wearing earrings, long hair, and military pants. Interestingly, despite showing up to the audition in this manner and having never worked with children before, he beat out 100 other candidates and was chosen for the role.
Steve Burns’ Blues Dalmatian is a show for preschoolers. He is a cartoon dog who always appears beside Steve.
The show quickly became a hit with mothers and teenagers. He became a celebrity, receiving accolades from all sides. “He was destined for this role,” Diane Tracy said in her 2002 book, “Blue’s Secrets to Success: 8 Secrets Behind an Extraordinary Career.” He not only hosted the show, but also produced it.
According to Steve Burns, there was only one downside to Straight to the Blues. It had to do with performing in front of a blue screen. The actor described the experience as being akin to performing at the bottom of a swimming pool.
In 2002, after hosting the successful TV show Blue Dalmatian, Steve Burns left the show. At the time, the show had been on the air for 6 years and 100 episodes. He had become such a popular figure that many people couldn’t understand why he wanted to leave.
