Steve Burns was born on October 9, 1973, and grew up in Boyertown, Pennsylvania. He attended Boyertown Area High School.
He is 50 years old. Steve Burns has two sisters, Karen Burns and Jennifer Burns. His parents are Joseph Burns Jr. (1938-2015) and Janet Burns (née Petaccio).
He formed and played in small bands during high school and college, and after graduating from high school in 1991, he received a scholarship to DeSallis University in Pennsylvania.

According to Steve Burns, there was only one downside to Straight to the Blues. It had to do with performing in front of a blue screen. The actor described the experience as being akin to performing at the bottom of a swimming pool.
