Early life
Steve Burton was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Tory and Jack Burton. However, he grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and later in Beverly Hills, California. He began his acting career in the late 1980s.
Career
Steve got his breakthrough when he co-starred in the television show ‘Out of the World’ from 1987 to 1991. In 1988, he appeared in Days of Our Lives. Burton first appeared in the daytime drama General Hospital in 1991.
In 1998, he appeared in season 1 of General Hospital: Night Shift, for which he won his first Daytime Emmy Award. Burton went on to star in films such as Taken and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.
He also starred in the video games Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, and Dissidia Final Fantasy. He also voiced characters in Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts, and Kingdom Hearts II.
He appeared in the CGI film. In 2013, he participated in The Young and the Restless castfor which he received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2017.
