“I hope to unify Texas,” she said after her coronation. “I come from a law enforcement family and there is a misunderstanding between police officers and their communities. And I’m really trying to close that gap so we can unify Texas.”

Ellie not only won the title of Miss Texas 2023 but also won first place in the evening gown and talent categories. Breaux performed a dance routine and an aerobics sequence to the theme song “Hold My Hand” from Lady Gaga’s Top Gun: Maverick.
