Who are Ellie Breaux’s parents?
Ellie Breaux is Miss Texas 2023. On Saturday night at the Miss Texas 2023 pageant held at the Charles W. Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts in Richardson, Texas, the daughter of Dudley Breaux Jr. and Sue Breaux took home the title.
Ellie also received a $20,000 scholarship to college, which she believes will help pay off some of her debt and allow her to pursue a Master’s degree in the future.
“As the daughter of a Houston police officer, I have the unique opportunity to be involved in bringing our community and police together to better understand each other. My goal is for our children to see police officers as heroes,” Ellie stated in her Miss Texas bio.
Ellie admits that when she first started competing as a freshman, she had no idea she would be competing in Miss Texas or eventually Miss America, but since then, she has had so many opportunities. She decided to compete again and continue to tell her story and volunteer.
“I hope to unify Texas,” she said after her coronation. “I come from a family of law enforcement and there’s a huge misunderstanding between police and their communities. And I’m really trying to bridge that gap so we can unify Texas.”
Not only did Ellie win the title of Miss Texas 2023, she also took first place in the evening gown and talent categories. Breaux performed a dance and an aerobics routine to Lady Gaga’s Top Gun: Maverick theme song “Hold My Hand.”
The new Miss Texas is from Houston and recently received her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of North Texas. She was previously Miss Tarrant in her county.
