Marion Hugh “Suge” Knight Jr. (born April 19, 1965), known professionally as Suge Knight, is an American rap music entrepreneur and former music executive.
Death Row Records was co-founded and run by him. He has also collaborated with the likes of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur.
He is accused of orchestrating the murder of world-famous rapper The Notorious BIG.

Career
Suge Knight was a football player and bodyguard before co-founding ‘Death Row Records’ with rapper and producer Dr. Dre. He was sentenced to prison for violating his parole the night of ‘Tupac Shakur’s’ murder, and the record label was embroiled in numerous disputes. He later ran into financial trouble and was sentenced to more prison time.
Furthermore, Suge Knight was a key figure in the widespread commercialization of gangsta rap. As a result, the label’s first two albums, Dr. Dre’s ‘The Chronic’ and Snoop Dogg’s ‘Doggystyle’ in 1992 and 1993, are credited with this achievement. Before starting his music career, he played college football at the ‘University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV)’.
He then played defensive lineman for the Los Angeles Rams as a substitute during the 1987 players’ strike. Tupac Shakur began serving a four-and-a-half-year prison sentence in 1995. In October of that year, he made a plea deal with him, paying his bail and releasing him from prison while signing him to ‘Death Row Records.’ The label also released 2Pac’s biggest commercial hit, ‘All Eyez on Me,’ in 1996.
After leaving a Mike Tyson boxing match in Las Vegas in September, a group led by Suge Knight and Tupac Shakur attacked Orlando Anderson, a member of the Southside Compton Crips gang. After three hours, someone shot at the car he was driving, killing Tupac Shakur, and Orlando Anderson has since been identified as the prime suspect.
Furthermore, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg left Death Row Records after the death of Tupac Shakur. The record label eventually disappeared and was quickly replaced. Likewise, there were complaints that he used intimidation and violence in his business operations in addition to recruiting gang members.
Suge Knight served several years in prison for assault and violating probation and parole from the late 1990s to early 2000s.

He had a relationship with Sharitha Lee in the 1980s and 1990s. He met her for the first time at a high school party. The couple had a stormy relationship. Sharitha Lee also obtained a restraining order against him in 1987 for cutting her hair. After a while, they reconciled and rekindled their relationship.
At that time, Sharitha Lee made great contributions to the record label Death Row Records.
They later married and had a daughter named Arion Knight. In 2007, he claimed that Sharitha Lee was responsible for the death of Tupac Shakur. He claimed that he was the intended target, but the bullet hit Tupac instead. She, in turn, dismissed his accusations as baseless.
