Early life and education
Karenjit Kaur Vohra, better known by her stage name Sunny Leone, is an actress in the American and Indian film industry. She was born on May 13, 1981, in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada to Sikh Punjabi parents. Her father, Jaspal Singh Vohra, was born in Tibet and grew up in Delhi, while her mother, Balwant Kaur Vohra, grew up in Himachal Pradesh. She has a brother named Sundeep Vohra.
Sunny Leone moved to Fort Gratiot, Michigan, as a child. When she was 13, her family moved to Lake Forest, California. In 2019, she became a Canadian citizen.
Although Sunny Leonie is Sikh, her parents sent her to Catholic school because they felt it was unsafe for her to attend public school. Sunny Leonie’s grandparents wanted the family to live in one place. At age 11, she had her first kiss.
