Meet Sven Christjar Skaiaa, Rebecca Loos’ Husband

Former model Rebecca Loos and her husband Sven Chrisjar Skaiaa met on a reality TV show called 71 degrees North or71 Graden Noord. The couple met in 2008 on the show where Sven was a medical advisor.

A few months later that same year, Rebecca announced on social media that she and her husband would be traveling to Kathmandu because he had been selected to speak at the World Mountain Medicine Congress. After rumours of an affair between Rebecca and David Beckham began circulating in 2004, Rebecca initially went public. This was one of the most difficult periods of their marriage, as David and Victoria reflected on in the documentary. Rebecca reportedly received £1 million from the drama and claimed to have slept with David at least four times in simultaneous interviews with various news organisations.

She is featured in the new Netflix documentary David and Victoria and the scandal she caused surrounding the couple.

“There was some flirting and I got a few hints, but I was like, ‘No, he’s not into you,’” Rebecca shared at the time, adding that she was aware of the significant risks involved in dating a celebrity.

“I clean the house, scrub the bathroom, cook dinner every night, do the washing – I love looking after my home and my family,” Rebecca previously told MailOnline, before insisting she rarely gets her nails done or her hair blown out anymore because “I focus on my home”.

“I like the way life has turned out for me. If I hadn’t been famous, I wouldn’t have been invited to do that TV show where I met my husband Sven and had these lovely boys. I wouldn’t have the life I have now,” she continued. As for the Beckham scandal, does she wish she had done things differently? “I made a lot of bad decisions and was persuaded to do a lot of things. Of course, if I could go back in time, I would change some things, but isn’t that what everyone does? I have no regrets.”
