After graduating from high school in 2008, SZA went on to study at three different universities before enrolling at Delaware State University, where she studied marine biology. However, she decided to drop out during her final semester to pursue various jobs.
While exploring her passion for music, SZA chose her stage name from the Supreme Alphabet, inspired by Wu-Tang Clan rapper RZA.
