SZA said she questions whether she’s ‘Done with music’ every day

SZA is preparing to release a lot of new music this year, however, it will not be the same as her previous works.

The superstar singer sat down for an interview British fashion magazine where she talks about what fans can expect from her new album, LANA.

“I think I’m making music from a more beautiful place. From a more possible place instead of a more anxious place. I’m not identifying with my brokenness. That’s not my identity . That was the worst thing that happened to me,” she told the publication.

SZA also spoke about the past atrocities she faced and how that past made her music different.

“Yes, I went through cruelty. I had to put it down at some point. Piece by piece, my music changed because of it, the softer I became,” she added.

British fashion magazine went on to reveal that LANA will be released this fall along with the deluxe edition of her second studio album, SOSalthough no specific release dates for the projects have been given at this time.

Despite the new projects in the works, SZA still questions whether she wants to continue releasing new music.

“Every day I struggle with the question ‘Am I bored with music yet?’ Maybe I wasn’t meant to be famous – I was depressed, short-tempered, and behaving erratically. That’s not for me because I’m too nervous,” she told the outlet.

“But why would God put me in this position if I wasn’t supposed to be doing this? So I just kept trying to take the opportunity. But I was just like, ‘Please, the opportunity is hitting defeat me,'” she continued.
