Taylor Swift, Beyoncé Celebrate Team USA at 2024 Paris Olympics Video: ‘Never be afraid to show them who you are’

Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are paying tribute to some of the nation’s top athletes at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The two pop superstars narrate a new commercial that pays tribute to some of Team USA’s medalists at this year’s Summer Olympics: gymnast Simone Biles, sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson and swimmer Katie Ledecky.

On Saturday, Swift’s video premiered ahead of several final events, including the women’s vault, 800-meter freestyle, and 100-meter sprint. Set to “Style” from “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” the clip features a mix of footage of Ledecky, Richardson, and Biles.

“Never be afraid to show who you are, especially when the whole world is watching,” Swift said as her 2015 hit played in the background. “Because there’s no way to be the best. There’s no way to inspire other people who will follow you someday. You do what you love. You love what you do. You believe in your style, whatever that is.”

The motivational video begins with a written statement from fashion queen Coco Chanel. Clips of Biles on the vault, Richardson confidently strutting the court and Ledecky swimming furiously in the pool then play on screen.

“Katie, Sha’Carri and Simone,” Swift concluded. “Three American stars, three different visions of greatness, tonight in Paris.”

Beyoncé also headlined a promotional clip for the 2024 Paris Olympics released Thursday that featured Biles.

“Let’s talk about strength,” Queen Bey said. “Because, really, that’s what this story is about: Physical strength. The beauty of it, the magic of it, the way it never ceases to amaze you. Then there’s spiritual strength, the kind of strength that really matters. Strength that you can’t see, you can only feel. Strength that you need in those moments when life is a little off track for you. And of course, lasting strength.”

“Only a handful of people know what it feels like to reach the top, stay there, and somehow keep getting better. Simone Biles inspires me, and I’m pretty sure she inspires you too,” she continued.

Beyoncé went on to praise the 10-time Olympic medalist for “having confidence in her strength, beauty in her ability, [and] What a wonderful lesson in her story.”

“Excellence doesn’t come easy. Gold can be a tough journey, and the greatest of all time is willing to bet that title every time she steps out. Take your best shot in the world. She’s ready for you,” the singer concluded.

Take your best shot, world. Simone Biles is ready for you.

The new clips come days after NBC released a video introducing Team USA, led by the “Cowboy Carter” singer.

According to People, a reworked version of Beyoncé’s song “Ya Ya” provided the soundtrack for the video, which featured her wearing custom-designed Americana-style outfits, including a Thom Browne opera coat with the Olympic rings on the back.

Beyoncé also wore a white bodysuit with the words “USA” printed across the chest, a cowboy hat and red, white and blue Stuart Weitzman cowboy boots.

The clip features appearances by Biles and the rest of the women’s gymnastics team — including Jade Carey, Sunisa “Suni” Lee, Jordan Chiles and Hezly Rivera — as well as men’s gymnastics team members Fred Richard, Brody Malone, Paul Juda, Asher Hong and Stephen Nedoroscik.
