Unconfirmed reports say they intentionally did not sit together at the recent Kansas City Chiefs game last week, citing a desire for a “different feel.”

Contrary to these rift speculations, however, Swift and Mahomes were seen interacting positively at the tennis event in Queens. According to eyewitness accounts, the “Lover” singer and her boyfriend Travis Kelce shared a booth with their friend, Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, and his wife.

Some social media users expressed concern about Swift maintaining a friendship with Mahomes, after Mahomes reportedly publicly supported Trump.

Some critics on social media platforms have called the 14-time Grammy Award-winning singer a “coward” for maintaining her friendship with Mahomes, raising concerns about her alleged support for Trump and her defense of her brother-in-law, Jackson Mahomes, against sexual assault allegations and other controversies.

According to X user @opaleyedbetty, “As a leftist and a survivor of sexual assault, Taylor hanging out with Brittany is really, really upsetting. Girl, get your head together because this is AFFECTION. Where has this Taylor been?”

@aftermidnightgf also tweeted, “Yeah, I don’t care anymore, f**k Brittany Mahomes, f**k Trump supporters, f**k anyone who sympathizes with them, and f**k Taylor Swift for acting like she cared about politics for one album cycle and then quitting when it no longer fit her aesthetic.”

Another user criticized Swift for supporting a controversial presidential candidate and highlighting her relationship with Mahomes, which was seen as support for extremely negative things.
