Tekken 8
The upcoming fighting game “Tekken 8” is co-developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Arika and is the eighth major entry in the “Tekken” series. The game will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Windows on January 26, 2024, promising innovative gameplay.

Director Katsuhiro Harada emphasized aggressive gameplay and introduced a “heat” system to achieve unique character abilities. The game features cinematic elements, new character models and sounds, and is powered by Unreal Engine 5. Tekken 8 gameplay
Tekken 8’s gameplay, directed by Katsuhiro Harada, prioritizes offense over defense. Introducing the innovative “Heating” system, which provides chip damage, additional movement settings, and changes your character’s movement attributes. Warriors can dash-cancel into heat, and their timers can be stopped while the moveset is in use. Defending against an onslaught results in chip damage, allowing health regeneration through offensive behavior.

The revamped Rage system now includes the “Heat Crush” super move. Emphasis on stage hazards, cinematic combat environments, and character reactions for a more immersive experience. “Tekken 8” uses Unreal Engine 5 to showcase new character models and voices.
