Biography
Tatenda Mandaza (born 10 September 1992), known professionally as Tendaness, is a record producer, DJ and musician from Swaziland. He has begun to make a name for himself as one of the most promising new producers in the region.
He has also remixed several tracks by international stars such as Drake and Ed Sheeran.
In 2016, Tendaness released her debut album “Grande”, which featured collaborations with some of Africa’s biggest stars. The album was well received by fans and critics, with MTV Base calling it “One of a Kind”.

Early life and education
Tendaness was born in Mbabane, the capital of Eswatini. He is 31 years old, born on September 10, 1992.
His mother is Swati, and his father is Zimbabwean. In 2007–2008, he started his music career in his bedroom after being pushed by a high school classmate.
A friend taught him how to use a turntable in 2008, and he took on the stage name ‘Tendaness’. After mastering his songwriting skills, he founded the record label Tendamix Records in 2011.
Education
Tendaness moved to the United States in August 2012 to study at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma.
He spent four years studying advertising with a minor in film and media studies while continuing to compose music.

Career
Tendaness’ debut EP, Play, was released on August 23, 2012, by Crossborder Records, a UK-based independent record label. He has released several official singles, EPs, and remixes to date.
In 2013, he released “Overload”, a major single. Former Cashtime member Smashis (now Zingah) and rapper Kid Nice were featured on the single.
While he was the Ambassador for Coca-Cola Swaziland, the song was released as part of the Crazy For Good Campaign. The song received heavy airplay in Swaziland and South Africa, and the music video was premiered on major music networks, including MTV Base and Channel O.
Tendaness’ debut album, “Grande,” was released on March 3, 2016, featuring many emerging artists from Swaziland and elsewhere in Africa.
