Terry Apala was born Terry Alexandar Ejeh on October 31, 1988, in Lagos, Nigeria, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and hip-hop artist.
Terry Apala, a 35-year-old Nigerian Afrobeat singer, incorporates the Apala music genre into his musical style; Apala is a popular traditional music genre in Nigeria.
Music career
Terry Apala joined the entertainment industry at the age of 12 and formed a group called Mezo Soprano; a dance team whose famous performance was at the Kanu Heart Foundation in 2000.
He later quit the band to pursue his own music career, releasing his first trap remix, “Champagne Showers”, which catapulted him to fame.
In 2017, Terry Apala released “Shape Of You Cover”, a song originally attributed to Ed Sheeran, which later won him the Best Cover of the Year (International) Award at the 2017 City People Music Awards.
