Some viewers and critics also accused him of fat-shaming and sexism. Here are some examples:
- In 2004, he revealed that he suffered from depression and had attempted suicide in 1999. He also admitted that he took medication and received treatment. The public reaction to him was mixed, with some praising his honesty and courage, while others questioned his credibility and mental stability.
- In 2019, he criticized the behavior and attitude of former Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, calling him a “diva” and “trouble.” He also said he wouldn’t pass the ball to him if he were a teammate. Brown called Bradshaw a “clown” and a “hater.”
- In 2020, he expressed frustration with Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid for not disciplining his son, Britt Reid, who was involved in a car accident that left a five-year-old girl in a coma. He said Reid should fire his son, who was an assistant coach with the Chiefs, and that he was “very upset” with Reid.
- In 2021, he criticized Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for being unhappy with the team and wanting to leave. He said Rodgers was “weak” and “dumber than a box of rocks” for being unhappy with his situation. He also said that if Rodgers didn’t want to play for the Packers, he should retire.
