Thando Thabethe (born 18 June 1990) is a talented South African actress, talk show host and media personality.
She rose to international fame when she was named one of Forbes Africa’s 30 under 30. She is a DJ who has worked for the popular South African radio station, 5FM.
Due to her work ethic and character, she was chosen as the first African ambassador for the famous brand Nivea.

Early life
Thandi Thabooty Thabethe was born in Soweto, on 18 June 1999.
She lost her father when she was 13 and was raised by her mother. In 2015, her brother was shot during an armed robbery. She attended Mondeor High School.

After graduating, she attended the prestigious University of Johannesburg to obtain a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting.

Career
Thandi Thabooty Thabethe has had a career in acting and media. She has excelled in both fields.
Her career in the media as a radio presenter began in her final year at the University of Johannesburg. She was a newsreader for the university radio station, then she became a presenter for a programme on the university radio station. After graduating, she joined the popular radio station YFM and was the presenter of Audio Treat.
She also appeared in a documentary titled Mindset Learn on DSTV in 2011. In 2014, she became a host of a reality talent show. She co-hosted the South African Music Awards and the South African Film and Television Awards in 2016 and 2017 respectively. She started her own talk show called Thabooty, which ended in 2020.
Thandi Thabooty Thabethe was actively involved in stage plays as a teenager before landing her first television role at the age of 14. She also participated in stage plays at the UJ Arts Centre while a student at the university.
She rose to fame in the acting industry when she was cast as Thando Nkosi in the South African television show, My Perfect Family. Since then, she has appeared in several shows as a main star, guest star or supporting role. She starred alongside Thapelo Mokoena, Lehasa Moloi in her debut film, Mrs. Right Guy.
She was appointed as a Nivea brand ambassador in 2014, becoming the first African brand ambassador for the skincare giant.
