Thato Moeng (born 25 April 1986) is a 38-year-old South African sports and television presenter, voiceover artist and journalist.
She began her career at Yfm and later moved to 5FM as the station’s first black female sports reporter.
She has been a sports TV presenter for SuperSport for more than 10 years.

Early life
Thato Moeng was born in Pretoria North, South Africa on 25 April 1986.
Since her childhood days, she has always been passionate about sports, mainly due to inspiration from her father.
However, despite that love, she never really had the desire to participate in sports.
Instead, Thato Moeng dreamed of becoming a political journalist.
Ultimately, however, she was able to fulfill her childhood dream of being athletically inclined by becoming the first black female television host.
Education
Thato Moeng attended primary and post-primary school in Pretoria before being admitted to the University of Tshwane in 2005 to study film and television technology.
However, a year later, she changed courses at Tshwane University of Technology and began studying journalism.
She was a student at the school from 2006 to 2010, where she studied Journalism.
Career
Prolific TV presenter Thato Moeng started her career as an intern at YFM, then a few years later she moved to 5FM where she became a black and female sports presenter station’s first.
From 2011 to 2014, she worked at 5FM. However, she signed up for a new sports show at SuperSport in 2010 and that’s how she started hosting Thursday Night Live with Robert Marawa until 2019. Cynthia Chaka is also the which she admires.
Thato Moeng presented Thato Moeng’s YO-TV sports show at some point in her career. In 2018, she signed a new contract with Johannesburg’s Vision View Sports Radio as presenter of Morning Flow and NFD.
The deal remains in place, just like with Supersport. Thato Moeng has been with Supersport since 2010 and she is one of the company’s top female presenters.

Personal life
On 25 December 2016, Thato Moeng married her husband Dumisani Sibiya and they have a daughter together. Sports is her passion and her biggest dream is to own a football club.
At the same time, she also encouraged women to venture into the male-dominated world of sports and give it a try. She currently lives in Johannesburg with her family and is working hard to attract women interested in football analysis.
Thato Moeng has a fund called Thato Moeng. The foundation was established in 2019 and is aimed at championing women interested in sports. She has appeared in many international competitions.
