“The Big Bang Theory” is an American television sitcom that aired on CBS from September 24, 2007 to May 16, 2019. The series was created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, who also serve as executive producers, with Steven Molaro also serving as executive producer. Made up of 12 people. Season and 279 episodes.
The show initially focused on five main characters living in Pasadena, California: Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper, physicists at Caltech who shared an apartment; Penny, their neighbor and aspiring actress; and their socially awkward friends and colleagues Howard Wolowitz and Raj Kusrapalli. As the series progressed, supporting actors such as Amy Farrah Fowler, Bernadette Rostenkoski, and Stuart Bloom were promoted to starring roles.
“The Big Bang Theory” is filmed in front of a live audience and produced by Chuck Lorre Productions and Warner Bros. Television. While the first season received mixed reviews, subsequent seasons received more favorable reception. The show’s ratings have consistently ranked in the top ten, ranking first in its eleventh season.
It was nominated for multiple awards, including the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, and won 7 Emmy Awards out of 46 nominations. Jim Parsons, who played Sheldon Cooper, won four Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, and the show also won the Golden Globe Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Television Comedy Series in 2011. In 2017, a prequel series titled “Young Sheldon,” based on the character Sheldon Cooper, aired on CBS.

Jim Parsons – Sheldon Cooper
Jim Parsons, best known for playing genius physicist Sheldon Cooper, has been active in the industry since the sitcom ended. He went on to voice the spin-off Young Sheldon and serve as an executive producer on the TV show Call Me Kate alongside his on-screen wife Mayim Bialik.

Simon Helberg, who plays aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz, returns to acting after taking a break from The Big Bang Theory. He starred in the musical movie “Annette” and went on to voice his character in the spin-off “Young Sheldon.” Helberg also played Nathan in the drama “They Made Us,” directed by his former costar Mayim Bialik. Kunal Nayyar, best known for playing the lovable but initially shy Rajesh Koothrapalli, has been active in the television industry since the end of The Big Bang Theory . He has appeared in shows such as Crime: UK, Mira, and Mystery. Nayyar has also lent his voice to projects such as Trolls World Tour, Trolls Harmony Vacation, and Diamond Back to School. Melissa Rauch continues to make her mark on television as the ambitious and sometimes cantankerous Bernadette Rostenkowski. Kevin Sussman – Stuart Bloom
