Steve Ferrell and Frannie Ferrell are the parents of The farmer wants a wife Singleton Ty Ferrell, who welcomed him into the world as Steven Tyler Ferrell. Ty was married once to ex-wife Sarah Ferrell and they share a daughter named Lennon Tyler, 12 years old as of February 2024.
However, Ty is determined to find love in The farmer wants a wife. He is one of the cast members of season 2 of The farmer wants a wife. The new season of Farmer Wants A Wife will follow four handsome men, including Ty, as they search for their next great love.
“I’m looking for someone to be my person, my life partner, the good guy, the bad guy and everything in between,” he said in a promotional video for the show. “This experience is about me finding someone.” Ty’s bio says that he “couldn’t think of a better life for himself, but the missing piece was a special person to continue his life’s journey with him.”
Most of the people appearing on Farmer Wants a Wife are new to reality TV. Some don’t even have social media followers at first, which is why the show is so successful in helping participants find lasting love on the farm. However, this is not Ty’s first foray into reality television.

Ty and his ex-wife Sarah filmed a DIY pilot at home in 2014. The couple then recorded the episode with Ty’s mother, reusing items rescued from projects other through their family company, Ferrell Excavation. It seems like the show never ended, but Sarah went on to film another movie without Ty.
Sarah was approached in 2016 to co-host FIY home renovation show He Shed She Shed alongside Luke Barr. The show only lasted one season and Sarah has seemingly tried to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible since then.
Meet Frannie Ferrell, Ty Ferrell’s mother
Frannie Ferrell is Ty Ferrell’s mother. Because of Ty, Frannie also had a brief stint as a reality TV star after filming a TV pilot with Ty and his ex-wife Sarah.
According to her Facebook, Frannie attended Sikeston High School and Southeast Missouri State University.
Born in October 1955, Frannie is 68 years old this year. She was born into a family of six including late parents Carroll E McAfee and Mary Frances Malcolm McAfee. Carroll, her father, joined the United States Army serving in the Korean War and was discharged in 1953. He worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation and worked for 27 years.
Frannie has three brothers James, Charles and Mo and one sister Carolyn Nagel.
Frannie’s mother died on October 11, 2011.
Meet Steve Ferrell, Father Ty Ferrell
Ty Ferrell’s father is Steve Ferrell. Since 1974, Steve has served as president at Ferrell Enterprises INC.
In December 1953, Steve was born to the late Frank Ferrell and Henrietta Ferrell as John Steven Ferrell.
Frank was a former Sikeston mayor, city councilman and business leader who died at age 87. His grandmother Henrietta was born on October 9, 1918 in Blandville, Ky., daughter of the late Henry Steinbeck and Sarah Frances Byasee Steinbeck. . In the 1950s, she was a pianist at Fellowship Baptist Church. A certified beautician, she owns and operates Ferrell-Taylor College of Cosmetology on Greer Street in Sikeston.
Henrietta passed away on March 18, 2010.
