“The Voice” winner Sundance Head was recently airlifted to a medical facility following a shooting at his Texas ranch on Friday.
Emergency medical responders arrived on scene to assist the singer, who is currently in stable condition and recovering at a medical facility in Tyler, Texas.
Sundance, real name Jason Head, is said to have called emergency services after the incident.
The circumstances surrounding Sundance’s injury remain a mystery, with his representative hinting that it may have been the result of a hunting accident.
According to TMZ, the 46-year-old country singer shared a photo on social media early Friday, revealing the interior of a spacious tent. The caption read: “Woke up this morning to the sound of silence.”
According to information provided to Fox News Digital by Sundance spokesperson Trey Newman, “This was clearly an accident and the bullet did not hit any vital organs, which were located in the fatty area of his abdomen. ” [and] do not require any surgery at this time until we receive any further updates.”
