Thulisile Nomkhosi “Thuli” Madonsela (born 28 September 1962) is a prominent South African campaigner and law professor. She has served as Social Justice Chair at Stellenbosch University since January 2018. Her tenure as the South African Public Protector lasted from 19 October 2009 to 14 October 2016.
Thuli Madonsela is widely respected in South Africa, having devoted herself to the cause of social justice and democracy as a lawyer, professor and anti-apartheid activist. Serving as Public Defender from 2009 to 2016, she received acclaim for her independent and courageous advocacy for the rights of ordinary citizens.

Career

Personal life
