Richard Dilichukwu Okonkwo (born April 12, 1996), better known by his stage name Tidinz, is a fast-rising Nigerian rapper and songwriter.

early life
Tidinz is a member of the Igbo ethnic group from southeastern Nigeria. He was born on April 12, 1996. He is originally from Enugu and spent his growing up years in the city.
Tidinz is a well-educated Igbo boy who speaks his native language fluently and is familiar with the Igbo culture and traditions. Growing up, he was exposed to American and Nigerian musicians such as Tupac Shakur, The Notorious BIG, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Nigga Raw, Mode 9, Rugged Man, MI Abaga and Vector Tha Viper, who performed rap music.
After listening to these artists, he developed a desire to become a rapper and decided to give it a try. However, he chose a different path by rapping in an Aboriginal language rather than English.

Profession
After spending the next few years freestyling and participating in rap challenges, Tidinz decided to release his debut single in 2014. The song was titled Paa Cool and featured Yung6ix as a guest vocalist. The single gained him recognition in the industry as a lyrical Igbo rapper to watch out for.
It wasn’t until he released the song “Mpandia” that he gained the fame he deserved as a talented rapper. The song became an instant hit and many people loved the Igbo rap vibe in it. To complement this success, he also released other songs such as “Oyi” and “Igbo”.
He collaborated with Igbo rapper Phyno to record the fun rap song “Abiggie”.
After months of hard work, Tidinz released his much-anticipated work, 777 Billion The EP. The EP contains five tracks, including the following songs: Road To Billion, The Plug, High Sea, Iron Head and Diego. He collaborated with DMW band Dremo on the track “Iron Head”.
In January 2021, he released the music video for his hit song “Diego”. The video was shot by WG Films. “Diego” is currently trending on radio stations across the country and has received thousands of plays since its release.
He is a master in Igbo rap and has worked with the likes of Masterkraft, Yung6ix, Quincy, Zoro, Phyno, Waga G and Charass.
He also creates conscious music, which his fans love. The video for his song “Lazy Youth” was directed by Adassa Kuki and released in October 2020. The timing of the release could be said to be perfect as it coincided with the nationwide “End SARS” protests.

In 2019, Tidinz recorded hit songs like Mama Ebele and Ofu Ehe. He collaborated with Zoro and Phyno on the song Akpaaza. During this period, he also released a 7-song EP titled 777.

Personal life
Tidinzi is a millennial, in his mid-twenties. Born into the famous Okonkwo family, his parents gave him the English name Richard. His parents are devout Christians who ensured that he and his siblings were taught by the Lord.
Tidinz is a Catholic who attends Mass whenever he can. He has apartments in Lagos and Enugu. He travels between the two cities to record new material in the studio, perform at concerts and shows, and stay connected with his fans.
He is currently in a serious relationship with a beautiful young lady, but for reasons known only to him, he has kept her identity a secret.
