Tiffany’s father is Lebanese and her mother is Irish with Native American ancestry.

After her parents divorced, she lived with her father and attended Norwalk High School for her freshman and sophomore years before transferring to Leffingwell Christian High School in Norwalk.

In 1992, Tiffany married makeup artist Bulmaro Garcia. Their only child, Elijah, was born in September 1992. In 2003, the couple divorced.
She married British businessman Ben George in 2004. They separated in 2018 while working on Pieces of Me and subsequently divorced.

In 1981, Tiffany made her debut with country music performer Jack Reeves at the Narods, a country-western music venue in Chino, California.

In 1988, at the height of her career, Tiffany became embroiled in a controversy in which Tobin battled her mother and stepfather for control of her career and income. Tiffany then attempted to declare herself an emancipated teenager in court.
The court rejected the request, but the judge allowed her to leave her mother’s home and her grandmother (who supported Tiffany during the trial) became her temporary guardian. Tiffany released her second studio album, Hold an Old Friend’s Hand, in late 1988, but it was not as well received as her debut.
Although it did not produce a number one single, the song “All This Time” reached the top 10. The album received critical acclaim and was certified platinum almost immediately.
Tiffany quit Tobin’s management job shortly after turning eighteen and signed with Dick Scott and Kim Glover, managers of the then-successful boy band New Kids on the Block.

In the early 1990s, as musical tastes shifted from dance pop to hard rock and rap, Tiffany’s career began to struggle.
Some admirers didn’t like the more soulful, sensual sound Tiffany took on her third studio album, the urban-influenced Inside (1990).
Despite numerous television appearances to promote it, most notably on the fantasy sitcom Out of This World, “New Inside” received mixed reviews from music critics and failed to chart.
Tiffany participated in the recording of this song “Voice of Caring” In 1991, the song peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Tiffany reunites with Tobin on album Dreams Never Die (1993)composed the song “If love is blind and”Can’t you see?” in a brief comeback attempt in the early 1990s.
