In this game, you play as a high school student who returns to his hometown ten years after his parents died in a car accident. The protagonist can summon something called a Persona, which is like a manifestation of his inner spirit. He joined a group called the Special Extracurricular Enforcement Team (SEES) with others who could do the same thing. Together they must fight against the Shadow and solve the mysteries of the Dark Hour.

Fans of the Persona series are eager for a Persona 3 remake, especially after the success of Persona 5. Game developer Atlus officially stated that they heard the voices of fans and began development of “Reload” in 2019. They announced the game in June 2023 and first talked about it in April 2023.

Reload retains the story of the original Persona 3, but makes it look and function better. Azusa Shimada came up with new designs for the characters, and Shige Soejima made sure everything looked good. Atsushi Kitajoh produced new music for the game, with some songs performed by Azumi Takahashi and Lotus Juice. The game aims to match the quality of subsequent games in the Persona series.

Understand weaknesses and resistance

Abnormal criminals themselves have no specific weaknesses or resistances, presenting a neutral challenge. However, the Book of Shrinking is sensitive to fire, but resistant to electric shock. Understanding these nuances can greatly influence your approach.

Team composition is important

To counter this formidable duo, it’s crucial to form a balanced team. Yukari, Junpei, and Aigis are recommended for their diverse skills. The flow of combat involves criminals launching devastating attacks, requiring careful planning and execution by your team.

Decipher the flow of combat

The battle begins as the abnormal criminals initiate a charge phase. During this time, both the Criminal and the Shrinking Book were focused on buffs and debuffs. Your team’s goal is to maximize damage output while countering the criminal’s buffs and mitigating their upcoming powerful hit, Hercules Strike.

Strategic moves to win

Yukari’s Sukunda reduced the criminal’s evasion ability, while Junpei used Ajirao to incapacitate the Shrinking Book. Aigis plays a vital role in maintaining the team’s defense and dispelling debuffs with Dekunda. Coordination is key to effectively inflicting harm and preventing criminals from launching major strikes.

Guard against hard blows

Once the criminal charge is complete, it is crucial to activate guards for all team members. While this doesn’t eliminate all damage, it can significantly reduce the impact of Hercules Strike. After a devastating attack, utilize recovery rounds with healing spells to get back into fighting shape.

Focus on the Shrinking Book

A proactive strategy involves eliminating the Shrinking Book as early as possible. Doing so prevents criminals from buffing their stats and actively debuffing your team. If the fight becomes overwhelming, prioritize defeating the Shrinking Book before reverting to standard attack mode.

Optimized treatment device

Keep an eye on divine artifacts and deploy them strategically to hasten the defeat of criminals. When the meter is fully charged, it can effectively breach its health bar, shortening the overall duration of the battle.

Continuous debuffs for success

Keep in a circular fashion, debuffing criminals frequently while remaining alert for opportunities to attack. With persistence and well-coordinated strategy, the abnormal criminals will eventually succumb, ensuring your victory in this challenging battle.

How to defeat the Shrinking Book and Abnormal Criminals in Persona 3: Reloaded?

To defeat the Shrinking Book in Persona 3: Reloaded, go to Level 90 of Tartarus in the Yabbashah neighborhood. Make sure your party is at least level 31 and your characters match that level. The Book of Shrinking is weakly resistant to Dexterity spells, so use fire attacks to exploit its weakness. Before the battle, use Kazehana’s Elf Aura.

Focus on defeating the Shrinking Book first, as it has less firepower and will debuff your party. Use Lakunda to lower its defense and use divine skills to defeat it quickly. Be prepared for a powerful strike from the Abnormal Criminal, and use Dekunda gems or abilities to remove team-wide debuffs.

To defeat the Abnormal Criminal, also on level 90, use Kazehana’s Fairy Aura before the battle. After defeating the Shrinking Book, confront the Abnormal Criminal. Before it can charge Hercules Strike, debuff it with Talunda to weaken its attack, which can cause serious damage to your team. Since Abnormal Criminals have no weaknesses, equip your character with a critical strike boost and Insurrection to counter their Hercules Strike.
