Tommy Lee, the rock star drummer behind Motley Crue, isn’t a fan of showering every day — and his wife, Brittany Furlan, completely agrees.
In a recent appearance on Off Vine With Kaitlyn Bristowe podcast, Furlan shared a surprising detail about their life together: Lee only showers about once a week. However, despite this, she said he was extremely neat and never showed any signs of being annoyed with her.
In fact, Furlan said Lee’s grooming habits may seem unusual but don’t bother her at all. “It’s funny because the guys I dated before him were all very messy and that was a big piece of bad luck for me,” she explained. “My house looks like a museum. My husband is very tidy, something one would not expect of a musician.”
Lee’s minimal shower habits partly stem from his upbringing. Furlan mentioned that Lee, who was born in Athens, Greece, picked up this habit from cultural norms in Europe.

“He said when he was growing up… it’s normal in Europe. You don’t need to shower every day,” she said, adding that he sometimes uses a washcloth to quickly wash himself if needed.
Despite their different hygiene schedules — Furlan showers every night, though she only washes her hair weekly — she insists Lee’s habits don’t bother her.
When asked if the frequency of his showers made her feel “uncomfortable,” Furlan quickly dismissed the idea. “No, because he’s so handsome. That’s really crazy,” she said. “He’s really a handsome guy. He doesn’t really interest me.”
However, she admits that his early morning habits – he is a morning person, while she is a night owl – sometimes annoy her. Lee (somewhat shocked) wakes up at 6:30 a.m., which Furlan says can be a bit uncomfortable.

However, she emphasized how much she loved their life together. “Every night is date night. We have a lot of fun. He’s also my best friend,” she said.
Tommy Lee and Brittany Furlan got married in 2019. Thinking back on her past relationships, Furlan said Everybody last year that Lee was “the first person to treat me this well”.
She added, “He just does all these really sweet things and I’ve never had anyone do that for me before.” Listen to the podcast below.
