Early life
Tracy Wolfson was born in 1975 into a middle-class family consisting of Jerome and Josephine Wolfson, who were always busy and spent most of their weekends with Tracy.
She was also an only child and spent time playing with her friends at school. She also developed an interest in sports and would often hang around the field to watch the football players.
Education
Tracy attended the University of Michigan and currently holds a BA in Communications. After graduating, Tracy’s love of sports led her to the MSG Network, where she worked as a College Football Writer.
Career
Tracy Wolfson began her sports commentary career at WZBN in New Jersey as a play-by-play staffer and later became a writer and reporter covering Golf, College Football and Indoor Football at ESPN’s Long Island News Tonight.
She spent two years pursuing her dream of becoming a sportscaster on ESPN before taking the leap and landing a job covering the Super Bowl with Greg Gumbel and Dan Diredof for CBS.
Her eloquence and enthusiasm are reflected in her approach to sports.
Tracy, who is 5ft 4in, has refused to let her size get in the way of her career. She regularly appears in interviews with major sports stars and enjoys being photographed with them.
To date, Tracy Wolfson has served as an MC and spokesperson for diabetes charities and research events. She was also the College Sports Speaker for the Mississippi State University Series in 2005.
She currently works as a journalist for CBS and is a brand ambassador for Nike Female Sports.
Personal life
Tracy Wolfson is a native New Yorker who enjoys spending time supporting and helping people. She is Jewish and is a board member of the Jewish Community Center in Tenafly, New Jersey.
Through her philanthropic involvement, Tracy has been able to directly and indirectly impact many lives – participating in the St. Jude Run/Walk to end childhood cancer, fundraising and organizing events with the Ryan Foundations, March of Dimes and Englewood Hospital to fight cancer, and more.
She married David Reichel in 2002 and has three sons – Dylan, Ariand and Evan.
