In the latest episode of the KardashiansKourtney Kardashian revealed her child with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, Rocky, went through a “horrifying” lung problem while she was still pregnant with him.

“We had a terrible scare,” Kardashian explained on the show, Billboard reported. “It’s extremely rare – the condition he has – but it’s also super rare and luckily we got it. Thank God, for a successful surgery. I’m really grateful, I withering.”

According to Kardashian, she revealed that the procedure was done to drain fluid from Rocky’s lungs.
Back in October 2023, Kardashian was rushed into emergency surgery on her fetus, while Barker flew home from his Blink-182 tour to be with his wife.
“I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am forever grateful to my husband, who rushed to my side after tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me.” Take care of me after that, my rock. Mom, thank you for holding my hand through this,” Kardashian said in an Instagram post shortly after the surgery.

Kardashian, who has had “three really easy pregnancies in the past”, revealed that she was unprepared for “emergency fetal surgery”.
“I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can understand that feeling of fear,” she said at the time.

The media personality also expressed shock when discovering the reality of pregnant mothers out there when they learned that health insurance only covers 2 ultrasounds.
“That experience opened my eyes to a whole new world of pregnancy that I had never known before. It was terrifying,” Kardashian told Vogue of her realization.

Speaking to the newspaper, Kardashian confessed that she has been “lucky enough” to do more than what her health insurance covers. Turns out – “it was one of those ultrasounds that saved my baby’s life.”
Kourtney also remembers being “really pressured and forced into IVF” when she was having trouble conceiving naturally.
“It went against my intuition,” she recalls, “and I didn’t feel fully prepared for the emotional or physical toll that was about to occur.” “We just got pregnant naturally. It’s an indescribable feeling. Shock, then extreme joy, fear, anxiety but I remember feeling grateful.”
