Trod Biography
Olaonipekun Olatubosun, better known by his stage name Trod (The Return Of Dagrin), is a talented Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter.
He came into the spotlight shortly after the death of his legendary brother Dagrin, as he seemed to be continuing where his brother had left off.
Trod’s songs are mainly in typical Yoruba language, also known as Ibile or indigenous rap. His song flow and delivery are unmatched, as can be seen in his single “Wild Mind”.
Trod is signed to Missofuyin Entertainment, the record label his brother was on before his death.
Education
Trode completed his primary and secondary education in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. He reportedly attended Command Day Secondary School and completed his secondary education in 2014.
In 2015, Trode was admitted to the Taisorarin Teacher Education University (TASUED) to study social sciences and graduated in 2019.
early life
Trod, which means “return of Dagrin”, is from Ogun State but grew up on the streets of Lagos.
It is worth noting that Trod was born on August 1, 1990, and is a member of the late Dagrin brother.
Profession
Trod’s fame started to spread during his school days when he was performing in the Freestyle series. He performed in school and different campuses and officially launched his first single “Game Yii” in 2011.
Trod had been secretly learning from his brother before his brother Dagrin died. In 2010, news broke online that Dagrin had died in a fatal accident, allegedly caused by the police.
It was a sad moment in Nigeria because Dagrin was a legend who revived the local rap music and was loved by people all over the country. Then, YBNL CEO Olamide came in and the streets needed a replacement for the legend.
When Olamide made people forget about the legend and became a good replacement for him, Trod invaded the industry. As Dagrin’s brother, he was loved and accepted by the people because no one could define why he used his art so perfectly.
Nigerians can’t help but love Trode, he is a major force and his songs are top notch.
He has been working alone since his invasion and is currently doing well.
Trod Net Worth
