Early life and education
Tshepo Motsepe, now 71 years old, was born on June 17, 1953 in Soweto, South Africa. She is the daughter of Augustine Motsepe and Key Motsepe, both teachers.
She has six siblings, including brother Patrice Motsepe, a mining magnate, and sister Bridgette Radebe, a businesswoman and politician.
She grew up in a politically active family, as her father was a member of the African National Congress (ANC), and her uncle was a founding member of the Pan-Africanist Congress (PAC).
