During his time in the Republican Party, Tim held a variety of positions, including co-founder and CEO of the opposition research firm America Rising and forensic analyst for Mitt Romney’s failed 2012 presidential campaign.

In his recent book, Why We Did It: A Travelogue from the Republican Road to Hell, Tim uses candid interviews, history, and personal stories to detail two decades of compromise and decisions the Republican Party made that put the party on a collision course with Trumpism, ultimately leading to the events of January 6.

At the time of this writing, the former MSNBC analyst was a board member of Defending Democracy Together, a writer at The Bulwark, and the founder of Light Fuse Communications.

In his personal life, Tim came out as gay in 2007 in an interview with LGBTQ Nation. “I saw a future with a wife and kids and a job as a senior strategist for the Republican Party, who tried to push all thoughts of gay people into some box in their brains,” said former Jed Bush student.

Before going public, Tim reportedly said he had been in a serious relationship with a female campaign staffer. Their relationship ended after Tim finished his job at First State.

The two welcomed their first child, a daughter named Toulouse Anne, on January 3, 2018. Tyler and Tim both took to Instagram to share the news of the birth of their first child on January 6, 2018, with Tyler writing, “Meet Toulouse Anne. Born on a Wednesday, now ours. Perfect in every way,” alongside a photo of him and the newborn.

On September 2, 2021, Tyler shared a photo of his daughter as she prepared to go to school for the first time. “First day of school! #toulagram,” he captioned the post.

Toulouse turned 5 in January this year. Tim posted a small video introducing his daughter’s growth on Instagram on January 4, 2023, and wished her a happy 5th birthday.

Tyler Jameson comes from a small family of parents and one sibling. Tyler’s father, Steven Kent Jameson, 68, is a physician at Monroe Medical Center. He also attended the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Tyler’s mother, Ann Jameson, is 64 years old in 2023. According to her LinkedIn username, she has been a teacher in Monroe County for the past 42 years. She completed her Master’s Degree at Radford University and her Bachelor’s Degree at Marshall University.

Talking about Tyler Jameson’s job details, he has been working under Policy Mill, an environmental services company headquartered in San Bruno, California, since October 2022.

Prior to that, Tyler worked at Impossible Foods. He first served as Director of Government Relations there, and then, in December 2019, was promoted to Vice President of Government Relations.

According to Tyler’s LinkedIn account, his first job was as a Staff Assistant on the House Agriculture Committee (2007-2010).
