Vedad Ibisevic (born 6 August 1984) is a Bosnian footballer. He scored his first international goal in a UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying match against Greece.
He is one of the most successful football players. He is currently a free agent, last playing for Schalke 04.
Before he became famous, he was a player at his college and was named NCAA freshman of the year.
He scored over 28 goals in 2018 and has achieved global recognition.

Early life
Vedad Ibisevic was born in Vlasenica Bosnia in 1984 on August 6. Two decades ago, there was an ethnic cleansing that invaded his mother’s village where he and his family lived. He was born to parents; Saban Ibišević and Mirsada Ibišević.
Everyone who showed up at the time was murdered. The ethnic cleansing militia killed and tortured many Muslims and destroyed their homes and property by burning them down. His grandfather’s head was cut off. In total, about 100,000 people died in this Bosnian Civil War.
Vedad Ibisevic, seven, fled with his family from Bosnia to Switzerland, St Louis. They slept in forests and refugee camps and we were forced to hide in caves until they escaped.
Even his father’s village, Gerovi, was burned down by soldiers. He couldn’t take his soccer ball with him, along with his two family bags. For him, his goals were more than just goals, they told his story.
Education
Vedad Ibisevic began his education at Mesa Selimovic School and then continued his education at Roosevelt High School. He then spent 4 years at Saint Louis University.
Career
Vedad Ibisevic started his career at Paris Saint-Germain. He then moved to Germany, where he played for Alemannia Hachen, 1899 Hoffenheim, Stuttgart and Hertha BSC.
He scored 48 goals in 123 games for Hoffenheim. He became a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team in 2007. He began playing in college, where he was named NCAA Freshman of the Year. During his college career, he played Premier Development League with both the St Louis Strikers and Chicago Fire Premier.
He was then signed to play for Paris Saint-German (a famous French football team) for the next season. On January 14, 2009, he suffered a serious injury that kept him out for the rest of the season.
Vedad Ibisevic also suffered a muscle injury in July 2011 and therefore missed the opening games. He came back stronger. He notably won the Bosnian Footballer of the Year award in 2008.
